Ministry
History
Scott and Debra met
each other through a church choir in Denver, Colorado and married
in Febuary 1978. Soon after, they set off to Bible School in Sacramento,
CA. where they graduated from a three year program at Trinity
Life Bible College. Scott says, "Our time at TLBC was
unique in that the school emphasis at that time was under the
direction of Dr. Paul Trulin." Dr.
Paul G. Trulin was a true pioneer who poured forth the revelation
of the indwelling Christ and has been internationally recognized
for his contribution to the Christian community.
After
graduating in 1981 Scott and Debra pastored for a short time and
eventually found their hearts drawn to the mission field. They
decided to move to Little Rock AR, where Scott attended Agape
School of World Evangelism. In 1983 they were sent out to
the Philippines where they ministered in prisons, schools, churches
crusades and helped
initiate and start a Bible training center in Oroquieta,
Philippines.
Scott wrote several tracts which was printed and widely distributed
by the Assemblies of God throughout that country.
After several years
of involvement in missions Scott and Debra felt directed by God
to return to the United States where they could raise their childern
and to get financially stablized.
They
were accepted and credentialed by Foursquare
Church International and Pastored for a number of years. In
1993 Scott wrote the book "Getting Free, Living Free"
which dealt with the issue of identity and self esteem. During
this time he started working on his Masters with Cornerstone University
and was certified by the National Christian Counselors Association.
Scott started a weekly radio program in the Sacramento area called
"The Harvesters Call", appeared on numerous television
programs.
Debra and Scott have
traveled and ministered throughout the years sharing the message
of the life of Christ in churches and through various marketplace
ministry outlets which have reached outside of the United States
into other countries as well.
As for Debra she
is a devoted wife and mother of four, she has been her husband’s
constant partner in ministry. Besides assisting him in a multiple
of ministry related functions and departments, she is on the Board
of Directors for the Central Colorado Area Aglow, and teaches
alongside her husband of 29 years
As a seasoned mom,
wife and leader she sees the challenges that women face in their
different areas of life and service. Her desire is to see women
find their “ministry,” whether it is in the home or
marketplace, thereby fulfilling their destinies in Christ. Debra
has been teaching a Bible Study in the Littleton Colorado area
for the last 2 years encouraging women how to cope with the stresses
of life, and how to walk in Freedom letting go of the weights
of life that holds many women back from reaching their Destinies.
Most recently Scott
and Debra have made the decision to align themselves with Faith
Ministries International which was started by Dave and Bonnie
Duell. As Scott puts it, "FMIN is a ministry we feel strongly
about, it's not just the vision but it is the message in the vision
that is important to us. That is why we have joined the Network."
